Tuesday

ELA 8: We watched and enjoyed Hercules.
Homework:
1) Perhaps the strongest human in all of the Greek narrative was Heracles.  Heracles performed twelve seemingly impossible labours.  Why?
2) How does each of Heracles' twelve labours atone for his sins?
3) In completing these feats, Heracles depended on strength, stamina, intellect, or assistance from others.  How did he accomplish each task?  What personal quality did Heracles rely on most?
4) What are some of our modern "monsters" that might be Heracles' labours today?  If he lived today, what occupations might he be likely to follow?  Explain.
5) Create a Venn diagram to compare and contrast Heracles and the Greek myths we have read with the movie Hercules.  Your diagram must have ten points.

Sewing 7: We finished the last two sheets of the booklet.
Science 7: Read page 16-19 and filled in skeleton notes.  Answer #1 on page 21 and #1-4 on page 22.
ELA 9: We read and discussed If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking.  Be prepared to share your epitaph with the class next day.
Media 20: Work period for the newspaper assignment.  Thursday and Friday will be the last work classes.  The newspaper will be due Thursday May 17.
